Saskatoon

Saskatoon is the largest city in Saskatchewan with a population of roughly 280,000.  Saskatoon is located on the Yellowhead Highway section of the Trans-Canada Highway system. The Canadian Pacific Railway and the Canadian National Railway both have connections to Saskatoon and the city is also a stop along the rail route operated by Via Rail. Many provincial transportation networks connect in Saskatoon, giving the city its nickname “The Hub City.”

Guidelines and Standards | 2017

In 2017, the City of Saskatoon released its Complete Streets Design and Policy Guide. The Guide provides an updated way of looking at street design in Saskatoon, considering aspirations for both land uses and roadway planning, and intentionally connecting them through the selection of appropriate street treatments.
