The Town of Ajax is located in Durham Region in the eastern part of the Greater Toronto Area. Ajax was the third municipality in Canada to adopt a Complete Streets policy.

A Complete Street Policy was adopted by Ajax Town Council, September 2013. Ajax’s 2019 Integrated Transportation Master Plan provides Complete Streets policy recommendations for the future development of the municipality’s roads.
