City of Kitchener is the first municipality in Ontario to endorse the provincial coroner’s report on cycling deaths that was released in June. The coroner’s report examined 129 cycling deaths that occurred during a five-year period and made 14 recommendations, including the adoption of a Complete Streets policy (The Record, 2012).
